3 Myths About Life Coaching

Myth #1 Life Coaching is like therapy.

Nope. Life coaching should not be confused with therapy. It doesn’t diagnose or analyze anything. It only helps create new behaviors and help you take action. As a Life Coach, I get the chance to hold a mirror back to you to show you what you are putting out there. I don’t interfere or tell you what to do. I am just there to help you- help you!

Myth #2 Life Coaches do the work for you.

If you don’t work, neither do I. To make changes through life coaching you have to make the changes yourself. I will hold you accountable, encourage you and be your biggest fan, but at the end of the day the work you do is yours to be done.

Myth #3 Life Coaches have figured everything out, that’s why they are Life Coaches.

No. Life Coaches are working on their lives just like you are working on yours! Everyday I try to find a balance and create a life I love living. It takes work and dedication everyday to make choices that help me manifest the life I have envisioned. We all have ups and downs!

3 Tips For Self-Care


As a yoga teacher and life coach, self-care is at the foundation of my teaching.  I see people all the time struggle with the concept of self-care.  They feel guilty, they don’t have the time, the motivation, the means, etc.  Self-care is about treating yourself right; physically, mentally and emotionally.  The great news about self-care is that once you start treating yourself with respect and compassion you will find that it is easier to treat others this way as well.  It’s a win-win for everyone!   Here are some tips for how to be a self-care superstar:

Tip #1 Date Yourself 

I’m serious!  Check yourself out in the mirror, give yourself a compliment, do your hair just for you, or write yourself a love note.  You get the idea!  Fall for you.

Tip #2 Treat Your Body (And Your Brain) Like A Temple

You are amazing, so treat yourself with respect! Take care of yourself by eating healthy foods and doing daily movement.  Read books and articles that raise your vibration, have a meaningful conversation or learn a new skill that makes you come alive.  Keep up the good work and continue to thrive in your life!  Investing in taking care of yourself is the best investment.

Tip #3 Keep It Real

Do what you can, when you can.  Be kind to yourself.  Don’t beat yourself up if you ate something unhealthy or skipped out on your yoga class. It’s okay.  You missed the point of self-care.  Self-care means being kind to yourself even if you messed up your self-care practice! Keep it in check. It’s all love.

3 Tips To Simplify Your Life


I know some days can feel overwhelming, challenging and just plain complicated!  It doesn’t have to be that way!  Learn 3 tips on how to simplify your life below:

1) Priorities, priorities, priorities.

What are your priorities? Make a list of what matters most to you.  Look at this list whenever you need a reminder of how you’d like to spend your energy.  It’s surprising how easy it is to forget about what matters most.  Keep yourself in check and remember your values.

2) Organization = Liberation

Clutter can lead to chaos.  Organizing your home, your office, your closet, your car, your purse, your wallet, your computer files etc. makes it easier to find the things you need when you need them.  Dedicate some time to de-cluttering and get rid of any non-essential items.  Consider donating anything you don’t need because someone’s trash is another persons’ treasure!  If this feels like a big overhaul, take smaller steps and de-clutter what you can when you can.
3) Focus 

We live in a world with endless information and most days we are being asked to give that output of energy in return.  It’s no wonder people try to multi-task and end up feeling overwhelmed, exhausted and disconnected.  Learning to focus on whatever is in front of you is actually more efficient than multitasking.  Think Quality over Quantity.  Whatever you are doing, take the time to do it and do it well!  Be present.
