Tip #1 Make Time
I know it can seem hard to find the time to meditate but that’s just it- you can’t find the time you have to make it. Take some time out of your day just for you to be present, be still and meditate. It can be 1 minute or it can be 30. Making the time vs. finding the time is worth it.
Tip #2 Find A Comfortable Seat
You have to be able to find a position that your body can be in without being distracted by physical sensations. If that means lying down on your bed or sitting in a chair, then so be it! You don’t have to sit cross-legged to meditate. Do what feels comfortable for your body.
Tip #3 It Is Ok To Start Over
Meditation is a practice. It’s okay to have to come back to your breath or a mantra again and again throughout a meditation practice. Don’t expect to be perfect. It’s okay to be distracted and it’s okay to start over. Meditation is an opportunity to practice being patient with yourself and to learn how to start over again and again and again!
