Snickerdoodle Green Smoothie

I love green smoothies. It’s such an easy way to get some more alkaline veggies in my diet and give me that extra energy I need during the day. This snickerdoodle green smoothie will satisfy anyone’s sweet tooth while delivering a big punch of nutrients and goodness to your day.

You only need the following simple ingredients to make this delicious smoothie:

2 dates

1/3 cup oats

1 cup greens

1 tbsp almond butter

1 banana

1 cup almond milk

Dash or two of cinnamon

Handful of ice cubes to taste

Add all ingredients except ice into a blender. (I usually let my daughter add all of the ingredients into the blender cup and she gets to join in on the fun of making something! She also usually sneaks a bite of something along the way.) Blend. Now add ice. Blend again until smooth. Enjoy!

This recipe typically makes one full size smoothie, however I usually like to give some to my small sous-chef for her efforts and it’s fun for my daughter to try what she had a part in making! It always tastes more delicious that way! Enjoy.
